Terms and Conditions

Effective: September 27, 2026 · Version 1.1

This is an English translation of our Hungarian terms. If the two versions conflict, the Hungarian version prevails.

These General Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of the Trioralab service operated by the Service Provider (the AI chatbot and related services available on the trioralab.com website). By registering or by ordering the service, the User accepts these Terms.

1. Service Provider details

2. Definitions

3. Description of the Service

Trioralab is an artificial intelligence–based chatbot that can be embedded in the User’s online store with a single line of code and that answers shoppers’ questions using the store’s publicly available product information. The Service Provider also offers website development services separately, for a one-time fee.

The Service Provider reserves the right to develop and modify the Service. The Service is provided on an “as is” basis; the Service Provider does not guarantee continuous, error-free operation, but strives to maintain high availability.

4. Registration and user account

Registration is required to use the Service. The User must provide accurate information and keep the login credentials of their account confidential. The User is responsible for any activity carried out through their account.

5. Subscription plans and fees

The current plans and fees of the Service are listed on the website (AI chatbot, website packages). The “Trioralab Pro” plan is a monthly subscription with a monthly question allowance. Website development packages are charged as a one-time fee. Prices are stated in US dollars (USD) and are the same for every customer, regardless of the customer’s nationality, place of residence, place of establishment, or the location from which they access the website. The prices shown include taxes at the currently applicable rates. The Service Provider reserves the right to change its prices; a price change does not affect a subscription period that has already begun or a website package that has already been ordered.

6. Payment terms

Payments are processed by Stripe, an international payment service provider. The Service Provider does not store payment card details. The monthly fee is charged automatically to the payment method provided, at the beginning of each billing cycle. The Service (API key) is activated once payment has been completed successfully.

Website packages. When a website package is ordered online, 50% of the package price must be paid through Stripe as an advance payment (deposit). Work begins once the advance payment has been received and the project details have been provided. The remaining 50% is due upon handover of the completed website; the Service Provider will send an online payment option (a Stripe invoice) for this amount.

Cancelling a website order. If the User cancels the order before work has started, the Service Provider refunds the full advance payment within 14 days. Work counts as started when, after receiving the project details, the Service Provider confirms by email that design work has begun. If the User cancels after work has started, the Service Provider keeps the part of the advance payment that corresponds to the work already done and refunds the rest within 14 days; the remaining 50% is not due in that case. If the Service Provider fails to deliver for reasons attributable to it, the advance payment is refunded in full. Refunds are made to the original payment method. The Consumer’s right of withdrawal is governed by Section 7 and Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.).

Late payment and suspension. If a payment fails, the Service is automatically suspended (the chatbot becomes inactive) until the payment is settled. Any fee that has fallen due and remains unpaid is a debt owed by the User. Deleting the account does not extinguish an outstanding debt: the debt remains outstanding after the account ceases to exist and may be enforced by the Service Provider. The Service Provider retains issued invoices for 8 years from the date of issue, in accordance with Hungarian Act C of 2000 on accounting.

7. Subscription term, renewal, cancellation, and withdrawal

8. User obligations (acceptable use)

The User agrees not to use the Service:

The Service Provider may, without prior notice, suspend any account that violates this section.

9. Intellectual property

The Service and its software, visual identity, and content are the intellectual property of the Service Provider. The User receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for the term of the subscription. Content loaded into the Service by the User remains the property of the User.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider accepts no liability for the accuracy of the responses generated by the Service (AI) or for any consequences arising from them. Except for damage caused intentionally and damage to human life, physical integrity, or health, the Service Provider’s liability is limited to the amount of the fee paid by the User in the subscription period concerned.

11. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

Processing on behalf of chatbot customers. As part of the chatbot service, the Service Provider processes the messages that visitors of the User’s website type into the chatbot, and any contact details they provide (e.g. an email address), on the User’s behalf as a data processor (Article 28 GDPR); the User is the controller of these data. The Service Provider:

The User is responsible for informing visitors of their own website about the use of the chatbot (e.g. in their privacy policy).

12. Complaints and disputes

Complaints can be submitted to team@trioralab.com. In the event of a consumer dispute, the Consumer may turn to the conciliation board (békéltető testület) competent for their place of residence or to the consumer protection authority. The parties will primarily seek to settle disputes amicably; failing that, the Hungarian courts have jurisdiction, and Hungarian law governs.

13. Amendments to these Terms

The Service Provider may amend these Terms unilaterally and will notify the User of any amendment on the website or by email. Amendments apply to use of the Service after they have been published.

14. Final provisions

Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Hungarian Civil Code, Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services, and Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on contracts between consumers and businesses.
